western senior pictures-Britney-2016-outdoors-Sweet Home, Oregon

What can I say about our 2015-16 senior model Miss Britney.  She’s a total goofball in the best way.  Like "Hey, let’s go jump waist deep in a river while wearing boots and a cowboy hat" kind of way.  She’s also a country girl from Sweet Home, Oregon so we decided to capture senior pictures that reflected her home town.  To do that we found a strange little western ghost town just east of Sweet Home and decided to shoot there.  It was a bit creepy but it was like having a movie set at our disposal.

When the temperature increased to the point of running us out of the ghost town we decided to head down to the Santiam River to finish the session.

That’s where the whole “Hey, let’s go jump in the river" thing happened.  We set Britney up with a wash basin on the bank of the Santiam River and she looked fantastic.  The only problem with the setup...I had to be literally up to my neck in the water with my camera to get the shot. But hey that’s why I carry insurance on all of my gear right?  Clare waited on the shore (with bated breath, I am sure.)

At the end of the day Britney and I both were exhausted and looked like a couple of drowned rats, but we got great images and we had fun doing it.  In my book that’s a great day at the office.
