Do wolves photograph babies?

I traded my camera bag for a diaper bag and my boarding passes for a season passes to the zoo.  Faster than I could say “What the?” I went from being a globe-trotting photographer to a stay-at-home dad.  The first few days were admittedly ugly.  I didn’t know how to change diapers, how to warm bottles and I had no idea why the baby kept crying.  Yup, ugly.

Growing up I was a military brat that got to see my fair share of this great country.  After graduation I enlisted myself and found my boots on the ground of some spectacular cities (as well as some not-so-spectacular ones).  The pattern that emerges from traveling this country extensively is that you really never want to live in a capital city.   Don’t believe me?  Check out the crime rates of Washington D.C., or Sacramento California. Celebrating Madison's Heritage

Our second location for the day was the All Nations Native American Veterans Memorial in Jefferson Oregon.  This Memorial celebrates Native Americans that gave their lives in battle while fighting for our country. Because of Madison's Native American background The curators of this memorial / museum were gracious enough to allow us to shoot at their location.  Now let me back up a tad.  To just say that they were gracious would be a huge understatement.  The good folks at the All Nations Native American Veterans Memorial provided us with the use of their hand crafted leather dresses, hand beaded necklaces, an authentic Tepee and even a live wolf.
