The Wallace Family

They were running around having a blast tossing a giant photo reflector around like a Frisbee and generally doing what kids do.  At this point mom and dad were a little concerned but honestly with high energy children it's all about directing the energy rather than trying to stop it.  The most genuine smiles come from when kids are having fun.  So I occasionally start a game of catch with my reflectors because the kids can't hurt them.  After that the kids realize I'm there to play it changes the whole dynamic of the shoot.

First Birthday Cake Smash

Mr. Daniel came to us... well actually his mother did because a random baby just walking into our office would be a bit strange.  So Daniel's mom came to our studio looking to do a cake smash and family portrait session combo.  which worked out perfectly because that's what we prefer to do with all cake smash sessions.  Before we introduce the cake we usually take time to shoot a mini family session.  Including family portraits in a cake smash session is a great way to really celebrate the first birthday milestone while documenting you family at that stage in your lives.  We highly encourage at least a few family pictures before the main event.

Wet and Yucky outside? It's always sunny at Troutman Photography!

You know who else loves an indoor portrait studio... my clients.  Especially the parents of small children.  When it’s cold, wet, rainy and otherwise being Oregon outdoors, it’s always southern California in my studio. No runny noses, no cold, cranky kids, just warm happy smiles all day, every day.

2016's KRKT Beautiful Baby Winner

It's said.... KRKT locks the child in a tower until their hair is long enough for a passerby climb up it and rescue the child.  That is, in fact, how they roll over there.  That's right "Cricket Country" IF that's your real name.  I'm on to you and your "Contest"!

O.K. y'all can hold off on that Amber Alert, they don't really lock the winner in a tower.  But I have it on good authority that they do encourage the children to eat a gingerbread house owned by an ill-tempered old woman.
